Fashionable High Fashion

Fashion is a mode of autonomy and self-expression in a certain time and venue and in a certain context, in terms of clothing, shoes, life, makeup, hairstyles, and body postures. From an aesthetic perspective, the word simply means a unique appearance characterized by the fashion industry when it comes to what is trendy at that time. With regards to fashion design, the designer creates a vision of his or her ideal fashion product which embodies that particular fashion trend at that time. Today, as the concept of fashion has changed from one historical era to another, so also have the definitions of fashion.

As defined by Merriam Webster’s dictionary, the word fashion means to dress up or present in a fashionable manner. The beauty of the concept is that it can be applied not only to the fashion industry but to all aspects of our lives. Today’s fashion industry includes athletic wear, casual clothes, formal dresses, jewelry, handbags, accessories, and haute couture, all of which are designed by designers who are considered celebrities in their own right. Although many people may consider this to be excessive, there are those who see it as a necessary part of a person’s personal style.

Haute couture, which used to refer to high fashion, has since become synonymous with unique, one-of-a-kind clothing designed and produced by elite fashion designers. In today’s haute couture market, there are many labels from which to choose. Some designers specialize in women’s ready-to-wear and women’s swimwear, while others focus on men’s fashion. Others still produce specialized lines of complete fashion products for men. For example, Giorgio Armani produces both trendy and elegant fashions for both men and women. Other designers popular with both genders include Yves Saint Laurent, John Galliano, and Andre Courreges.
