A key skill to learn in poker is understanding and predicting your opponent’s ranges. This means thinking beyond your own cards and determining how likely it is that other players will have a certain hand based on their previous betting patterns.
Another important poker skill to master is bankroll management. This is the ability to know how much you can afford to lose and to only play in games within your limits. This will prevent you from going broke when you hit a bad beat or don’t make a good enough draw.
