Reasons Why People Love to Travel

Travel is the traveling of individuals between different, often very far, geographical locations. There are many ways to classify travel. Travel can be domestic (intimate), international (business), or just plain casual (social), but it all has one thing in common: people are moving from one place to another. Travel can be domestic or international, using only luggage, bike, car, train, plane, bus or boat, and can either be one-way or round-trip. Of course, there are many more ways to classify travel than this, but this gives you a good starting place.

One way that we normally think of when someone says they are traveling is through a domestic route, in which they are taking a trip within their own country, state, or even region. Some of the most common types of domestic travel include visits to friends and family, sightseeing, the mall, parks, beaches, theme parks, or even eating at a restaurant. Many people choose to travel within their own country, especially when they are not visiting another country, but instead are simply traveling within their own borders. A good example of this would be a person who lives in the United States and wants to go on a trip to their native state to see relatives.

Another reason why people love to travel is for the opportunity to learn a new skill. Whether it’s a skill that they’ve been wanting to learn but haven’t had the time to pursue, or a new skill that is only learning as they travel, it’s almost always a positive experience. When people take new skills on foreign trips, they are gaining access to a whole new culture, a whole new world. Learning a new skill, whether it be in sailing guitar playing, photography, art, or even dancing, gives the traveler a sense of accomplishment. In addition, taking a trip overseas offers an opportunity to experience a different part of the world altogether.
